Aaven turns the news and sources you choose into a spoken briefing. This page covers the most common questions — for anything else, email us directly.
Need help fast? Email support.aaven@gmail.com and describe what you were doing when the issue happened. We read every message.
On first launch, Aaven walks you through picking the categories you care about (Top Stories, Technology, Business, World, Science, and more). In Settings, you can turn on individual sources under each category — Aaven only pulls from sources you've explicitly turned on.
The free tier gives you a daily curated sample: a few top stories plus daily extras (Wikipedia's "On This Day," Merriam-Webster's Word of the Day, and A.Word.A.Day). Aaven Plus unlocks unlimited sources and categories, premium neural voices, offline caching, and playback customization, as a monthly or yearly subscription.
Subscriptions are billed and managed entirely through your Apple ID, the same as any App Store subscription. To view, change, or cancel: open the Settings app on your device → tap your name → Subscriptions.
If you've subscribed before and Aaven isn't showing your Plus features (e.g. after reinstalling), open Aaven's own Settings screen and tap Restore Purchases.
Aaven fetches directly from each source's own site when you refresh. If a specific source consistently returns nothing, that publisher's feed may be temporarily unavailable — try a refresh later, or select a different source in the meantime.
